SeqBench

Sequence Formatter & DNA/RNA Converter

Clean, case-convert, wrap, reverse and convert between DNA and RNA.

🌐 Runs on the SeqBench API — also callable via REST & MCP, and in bulk from the batch tools

Clean up and reformat messy sequences before analysis: change case, wrap lines to a fixed width, strip numbers, spaces and gap characters, reverse the sequence, or convert between DNA and RNA. It is useful for tidying sequences copied out of papers, alignments or database records.

Frequently asked questions

Can it clean messy pasted sequences?

Yes — it can strip numbers, spaces and gap characters that often come from alignments or copied records, leaving a clean sequence.

How do I convert DNA to RNA?

Enable the DNA→RNA conversion option; every T becomes U (and case is preserved). RNA→DNA converts U back to T.
